Freakin’ Sexy: Erin

I recently worked on a model portfolio at Moffat Beach. The day started out with a little bit of drama when the generator blew up the hair stylist’s straightening iron, leaving us without power for hair styling and my airbrush compressor. Ah, you gotta love working on location!

Sarah Climo is now a bit of a hero in my book. She managed to do this absolutely incredible hair style with nothing but a couple of combs, some hairspray and her own two hands. Magical!

Our drop dead freakin’ sexy model is Erin. The super talented photographer was Angel of Angel Photographix.

Get Erin’s makeup look by applying a typical strong black smoky eye technique. Line upper and lower lashline and inner rim (top and bottom if you can!) with a nice soft black as black can be pencil. Then smudge top and bottom lash lines using a black eyeshadow with a bit of shimmer, like DMC Black by Gorgeous Cosmetics, $35.00. Continue the black shadow up to the crease of your eyelid.

Next blend at the socket with a bright purple or any other colour to suit your look. This softens the black smoky eye, and adds some femininity. Highlight the brow bone with a shimmery white or pink. I used Mysterious shimmer dust by Gorgeous Cosmetics, $25.00, because it is slightly iridescent, which blended in nicely with the purple. And whack a bit in the inner corner of the eye, too, while you’re at it.

I wanted to bring out Erin’s cheekbones with a dramatic contour. I used a strong application of  mineral bronzing powder Endless Summer 2 by Gorgeous Cosmetics, $55.00. If wearing this out and about rather than for photographic work, you could definitely tone down the contour.

Finally, for Erin’s lips I went for a nudie lipstick that I absolutely love. It is a very soft nude with lilac tones; I cannot recommend highly enough Bride’s Nightie by Harlotte, $30.00 (See – proof this post was not sponsored by Gorgeous Cosmetics!)

If you try this look, make sure you give me a holla, I’d love to see it!
