STMA in The Bride’s Tree Magazine

It’s always wonderful to be asked to be part of a collaborative shoot. As a makeup artist, it allows me to let my creativity flow, try new things, or just use all my favourite products with all my favourite techniques.

When Nicole from Sass & Niki’s Wedding Hair came to me with the idea for a beach shoot with a horse and a dress from Grace Loves Lace, it was really easy to say a firm YESPLEASEICAN’TWAIT.

Our pals from Style Le Aisle were brought in to provide some props, and the crew from Wandering Abodes to set up one of their sweet glamping tipis to create a styled chill zone in the dunes.

No wedding inspo shoot would be complete without some insanely beautiful florals, and nobody does that better than Ginger Lily & Rose Floral Studio, who fashioned some peonies into a level of gloriousness that’s hard to look away from. The coral peonies in the bouquet and on horse Tango’s floral necklace inspired the lip colour I used in the bridal makeup for this shoot – Harlotte Cosmetics lipstick in Mistress. I went with a simply bronzed eye makeup with a wing for a glam, yet simple beachy makeup style for a beach bride with a bohemian vibe.

When Elephant Met Zebra rounded out our team on the camera, and produced these next level images. And that’s why this shoot ended up on the cover of The Bride’s Tree Magazine. Yes, I happen to know the Editor, but I mean seriously – could you imagine a more gorgeous cover than this one before you? I also happen to know she’s always impartial in her editorial decisions. And pretty.

Of course I absolutely love my job doing bridal makeup all across the Sunshine Coast. It’s a great gig, I gotta say.
