BRIDAL MAKEUP | Amy’s glam Noosa wedding

Amy Dautopalous

In the lead up to Amy’s wedding, we had such a lovely time getting to know one another over email and at her trials. Yes, Amy actually had two trials. The first time we met she wanted to try something she hadn’t ever tried before – a full smokey eye to amp up the glam for her wedding day. Although she was having a fairly relaxed beach wedding, she also wanted to turn heads on her wedding day, a goal I am always more than willing to help along!

Now you really don’t know until you try… but as it turns out, a smokey black and grey eyeshadow style wasn’t for Amy. Never mind. The next time we met, we worked together to come up with something that was much more “Amy”. By this stage it was a couple of months down the track, and much more of her wedding style had come together. We decided with her plans for her flowers and styling, as well as her completion and affinity for all things girly, we were better off creating a warm-toned fresh and youthful bridal makeup with a little pink in the mix.

We still wanted Amy’s pretty eyes to stand out, but without weighing them down with heavy eyeshadow, so we kept a little of the depth with some long lashes and flattering upper lash line definition. We kept the glam in there, but settled it in with a rosy pink lip.

The bridesmaids wore a bright pink lip colour with a gentle bronzed smokey eye. All of the girls had incredible long locks, which were styled into voluminous curls by Jacinta from Coastal Style Mobile Hairdressing, who is always such a pleasure to work with.

The lovely Tahlea Blunt Photography took these photos and was kind enough to share them with me. She has also blogged many more images from Amy and Adam’s gorgeous Noosa wedding, which is well worth a look. Amy Dautopalous_1 Amy Dautopalous_4Amy Dautopalous_2 Amy Dautopalous_3 Amy Dautopalous_5 I absolutely LOVED Amy’s dress! And didn’t the girls do a fab job of putting together their own bouquets? Amy Dautopalous_6
