About Face – Makeup Lessons

Finally it’s time to announce my new program to bring perfect makeup to a face near you! Even better – a face on you! I am taking bookings now for my new Lessons in Makeup, to be held from September onwards.

Being a professional makeup artist, friends and clients are continually asking me how to apply their own makeup. Sometimes it’s as simple as which kind of foundation to use, or whether or not to buy a certain makeup brush or product, other times it’s details how to perfectly apply the classic smokey eye or an effortless natural look for daytime. I absolutely L.O.V.E sharing my tips and giving advice on makeup application and products, so this new part of my makeup artistry business here on the Sunshine Coast, and spilling over to Brisbane, is a natural step for me.

So, what can you expect when you book me for a lesson? Firstly, it’s all about you – I will personalise your lesson to exactly what you want to learn. If you’re not sure, I will be happy to talk it through with you and make a suggestion on what I believe will suit your style and lifestyle so you can hussy yourselves up with the best of them!

My makeup lessons will be super fun, and you can book in as a group for a fun afternoon or evening with the girls before heading out on the town. Or if you would prefer some one-on-one attention and privacy, you can also book in for a private tutorial.

What you will definitely learn:

• How to choose a shade and type of foundation that will suit your skin type, complexion and lifestyle
• Two specific looks of your choice – one for day, and one for night
• How to use the products you already own (absolutely bring them along!)
• Contouring and highlighting to flatter and improve the appearance of the shape of your face
• Which products are must-haves for you, and which ones you can get by without
• Skin care and makeup product advice
• Colour choice advice
• Practical advice on makeup designs to suit certain outfits/styles and occasions

GROUP PACKAGE:

• 3-hour personalised makeup lesson for you and your friends*
• Detailed instruction on two makeup looks – one for day, one for night, with hands-on practical learning
• 10-piece makeup brush roll
• Mobile service – makeup studio in your home or workplace
• Each individual is encouraged to bring along their makeup bag for advice on what to keep, what to chuck, and what they need in products and brushes
• Personal colour advice on foundations, eye, cheek and lip colour for each person
• Written instructions on the looks learnt
• Skincare advice
• All of my best professional makeup artist tips and tricks!

COST: $55 per person

*Minimum 4 people. If group exceeds 8 people, a second makeup artist will be employed so each person still receives personal attention.

Great idea for a birthday party, hen’s night or wedding shower! Also a great idea for young women to learn about being flattering and appropriate with makeup design – mothers, give your teenage daughters a great start into the world of makeup!
