In the lead up to A Darling Affair 2018 I was selected as part of a team to put together a shoot for bridal inspiration.
The Sunshine Coast contingent of the A Darling Affair crew got together at Point Arkwright, and executed what I can safely say was my favourite shoot of the year. I adore the simple beauty in this shoot with beauty of nature at the heart of it.
Hair + Makeup
I worked alongside Nicole from Sass & Niki’s Wedding Hair to create the relaxed vibes for this shoot with our bridal makeup and hair designs. Our model’s look was all about natural beauty with a bit of glam thrown in for good measure.
To be honest, a big part of my decision-making in this bridal makeup design was the recent acquisition of the prettiest, most sparkly pot of glittery goodness from Tarte Cosmetics (cruelty-free, of course!) And I was the annoying makeup artist dragging the whole crew into the sunlight before it set so we could see it in all its glory. So worth it, it’s divine.
Styling, Flowers + Fashion
Brooke from Sacred Wilde came up with the concept and styled the reception and ceremony in what were actually quite difficult circumstances on the day… To say it was windy is an understatement! This just speaks to the professionalism of the team, as we all knuckled down and got it done.
Ella from Yūkari Botanicals created a dried floral arrangement with such raw beauty – her talent for making things of beauty is astounding. I for one am loving the dried flower trend at the moment!
Our model wore jewellery by my current fave Mark Neil Jewellers and a no-fuss gown by L’eto Bridal that was perfect for the beach location.
