Old world charm was the inspiration behind this collaborative shoot at Flaxton Gardens in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
When photographer Shae Estella got in contact asking me to collaborate on this shoot, I jumped at the chance. The team was amazing, the venue incredible. I loved the concept and Shae’s photos are next level.
The Makeup
Nicole from Sass and Niki’s Wedding Hair and I created three distinct hair and makeup looks to suit the old world and very charming theme. It was classic-meets-contemporary for our first look with a simple, yet classy matte eye design and vampy deep lip.
Each makeup look matched the floral and fashion elements in their own way. So next up I gave our model, Tallulah, a warm brown lip with a satin finish for a monocramatic feel, while Nicole created a striking up style with an eye-catching floral hair piece by Woods and Bloom.
I couldn’t imaging choosing a favourite look any more than I could imagine choosing a favourite child. The fact that I only have one child is irrelevant.
The final look was pretty darn great, though. It was fun and flirty and youthful with a top knot and a berry-toned “your lips, but better” lipstick. I smoked up Tallulah’s eyes just a smidge to top off the look.
When all was said and done, it’s not surprising our shoot was picked up by White Magazine and ended up on their blog, where you can see all of these gorgeous looks and the styling in more detail.
