Botanic Gardens Styled Shoot

I recently worked on a gorgeous styled shoot with an absolute dream team of Sunshine Coast wedding professionals. I have worked with Matt Rowe Photography previously, and his images are divine. He’s a true artist, and lovely person. As is his wonderful wife, Amanda, who dutifully went about gathering the team to work on this shoot. Of course, I was in from word go.

The location was Maleny Botanic Gardens, and I can tell you, my imagination went wild with plans for my own hypothetical wedding there! I can’t even describe how beautiful it is, you will just have to go and have a looksee for yourself. Interestingly, you can go up there for a look around and a spot of lunch. They even do a Devonshire Tea, which you can enjoy under one of their sweet gazebos.

For the makeup, I went with a bronze eye makeup design that was both glamorous and sexy, yet still very bridal. Striking bronze makeup is very on trend at the moment, and looks gorgeous on blue-eyed and green-eyed ladies in particular, and it picks up those copper flecks and compliments the contrasting colours, making them stand out even more.

This was a really fun shoot, because of the people involved. My main girl, Taryn Smith, who does the best hair styling in town was my partner in crime for the day, and I finally got to meet the lovely Tisa from Moments in Vintage… her styling work is so unique! I also met for the first time somebody I have heard so much about – Amber Copley Fashion Stylist, daughter of the loveliest lady around, Judy Copley, who designs the most stunning bridal gowns and makes you feel like a million bucks with her sunshiney demeanour.
