This post is way overdue. Last year in April, The Bride’s Tree released its first online magazine, and I worked on the styled shoot that made the cover! It was AMAZING. It was shot on a hideously cyclonic day at Shelly Beach in Caloundra between downpours, all the while with the threat of a cyclone looming at us on the horizon. Not that you would know from these gorgeous photos by Shane Shepherd Photography!
Splash Events did the styling, and they were like nothing I had ever seen before – they just got the job done without worry or complaint. I have seriously never seen a more professional pair of gals than Nicole and Rachelle. And the end result was beyond what I even imagined it would be!
Again I worked alongside my best hair gal, Taryn Smith, who created this outrageously beautiful bohemian hair style on our model, Kirsten And yes, that is truly all her own hair!
For the makeup, I kept it very natural. Kirsten has perfect skin and a natural beauty that simply needs to shine on its own. I stuck with natural tones, and a touch of peach in the cheeks. I airbrushed her base, and went without powder to allow her natural radiance through.
